Sweater unfinished

Help please anyone, on how to finish the sleeves or attach the sleeves to the sweater.

I went and sewed 1 sleeve to one side, but I don't think it's right, cause now the colored band is at the shoulder, how can I make this look right.

Is it supposed to look like a T when seams are sewed, but now the sides and the sleeve seams aren't sewed yet, cause to me it looks dorky.

Nutty I went and looked at the pic of the sweater.  To me it looks like their should be some rows of  pink before the band starts on the sleeves.  Hmmmm.

Yeah, it looks like there should be more to the shoulder area or above the band.  Looks like something is missing there...and i really don't see any instruction on doing that to the sleeves...perhaps the front and back should have like a cap on the shoulders.....know what i mean.  a cap to sew to the bands of the sleeves.  in other words....the back and front having the start of a sleeve that would sew onto the band of the sleeve.  does that make sense?  hard to articulate in print........
