Holy canoli!!!!  - It's looking beautiful - I wouldn't want to use it after all that work on it - it would be in a room where no one was allowed into - they would just have to look and admire from afar! |

If I made it it would be like one of the museum homes, where you walk through and can stand and look from behind a rope. I'd likely kill anyone that tried to place food on it.
Your Mom must have a big table since half all but covers your table.

thanks ladies.
mum is only going to use it to keep her table covered when not eating as her table gets scratched so easily so she want to protect it, then she will put an old one on for eating. yes her table is bigger than mine

There's nothing worse than spending all your time on something so beautiful only to have someone not use it. I would recommend getting a clear plastic table cloth to go over top of it. I'm glad she will at least use it to protect her table. Great job!

Absolutely a person should USE such a work of art and loving gift. I am so glad it will not be used for food, though! I have several cloths that are for "display" and table protection only, and change the cloth when eating. A great compromise and no trouble at all.
