My kids are starting at a daycare center next week verses the babysitter they went to since infancy so they need a blanket to bring.  My son requested a "mommy loves me"blanket to bring.  I didn't want to part from the ones they use at home that I made while pregnant so I got an opportunity to make baby blankets!  I thought my baby days were over.  It was really fun to select and sew love love into every stitch.

Emily's is called exquisite by terry kimbrough  Leisure Arts #3059, Heirloom Afghans For Baby and Daniel's is my own design.

Beautiful work on both but really like the first one.  I have the pattern for the inside of that blanket but the border is a lot different than yours.  I love the pineapple border.

Lovely both of them.  I especially like your sons blanket.  Does that stitch pattern have a name, or did you wing it?  It looks like broomstick, but not.
