This is the baby blanket I have been working on for two months.  It was kind of complicated and I was kind of lazy/slow about it.  Turned out well, but don't look close there are a lot of mistakes.

Well if that isn't the prettiest thing!!!!!!!!!!!  I like everything about it...starting with the lovely center all the way out to the beautiful picot edge.  Very nice heirloom work.  Grin  It must be for a very special baby.

Thank you all.  It is actually a free pattern, the free pattern is a written pattern, supposedly there is a chart out there in a publication, but I couldn't find it online or to buy anywhere, so I muddled through the written instructions.  It was Ok until about round 25, then there was so much going on & the rounds kept getting longer, that my attention starteed to wander, if you don't pay close attention you can really screw it up.
I generally didn't find mistakes until I was ready to crochet on top of them and there was no way I was frogging back a whole round, so I just made them work.

I do like the result.  Next time I might try white for a Christening blanket or pink for a girl, I'm not sure it is truly suied to a boy, but it is pretty.

That is so pretty - what yarn did you use?  It looks like you used 2 strands? Maybe it's my computer or maybe I'm going cross-eyed (I'm working on a thread pattern  Undecided- haha)  I don't see any mistakes - its beautiful! Great job!!!

It is just Bernat Softee Baby, I just love the way it feels for being so reasonably priced.

Beautiful Lara. I may only be a novice but I can't see a single mistake. You should be very proud of yourself.
