Finished this a few days ago and was won in an online auction to raise funds for rescue greyhounds.

My life changed the day we got Blue and I've raised quite a bit for various charities by making greyhounds (usually smaller than this)  My heart is broken though as we had to set my beautiful boy, Blue free on Saturday.  He had a huge tumor in his chest  pressing on his esophagus which stopped him being able to keep food down.

I'm sure many of you dog owners know how raw the pain can be and we are all devestated, especially the children.

Cry Cry Cry  I am SO SO SORRY to hear of you losing Blue.  What a loving tribute to him each time you crochet another greyhound for charitable and rescue causes.

so sorry, we have an aging sheltie and two young children who adore him.  HE developed a medical condition a year and a half ago and it was touch and go for about 6 months and it is  just now that the treatment appears it may have been successful for now.  I don't know what I would tell the kids 3 and 1 1/2.

My 3 year old though the crocheted dog was awesome (he is looking over my shoulder now wanting to go back).  Very clever.

I hate to hear about Blue. Hubby and I cried our eyes out a couple of weeks ago when we thought we were going to loose Buckwheat (Chi).
Great job on the Greyhound.

The greyhound is fantastic!  Well done!  I'm very sorry for  your loss...we lost our Sam just about a year ago and I still tear up when I think of her prancing around the kitchen...

So sorry about your Blue, it is a beautiful tribute that you continue to help rescue charities beyond rescuing a dog, & even now when he is gone.
