Wooo hoo! Ladies so glad your WalMart has expanded more.   I was in a hurry as always  and didn't have time to check the prices.   Glad you all are happy hookers too.  I want to go back when I have more time and check it all out.  Several months back WalMart raised the price of the Red Heart 7oz. from 2.17 to 2.27, Hobby Lobby raised theirs from 2.17 up to 2.29.  Guess it was just sitting there and they decided to lower the price.

Hobby Lobby has sales on their yarn, too.  Just be sure to watch their sales.  Sometimes Red Heart is at $1.99.  With the Wal-Marts where I live at, Red Heart went from $2.14 to $1.98.  Gotten plenty of yarn to make 2 to 4 projects at least.  That is how I ended up getting a lot of yarn because of those sales.  LOL

Our WM RH yarn went from 2.26 to 1.98, but no selection yet.  I have to drive over to one of the further ones to get any choices.  It's easier to pay 2.29 down the street at our Craft Warehouse for certain colors.  Less gas to use and I'd rather spend my money on the yarn.  Wink

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that ours will get more stock up too.

Since moving from So Cal last Dec where the choices abound, Walmart is my only choice for yarn now.  While it is a super Walmart their yarn inventory is quite small.  The closest Michaels or Joannes is 150 miles away.  I'm afraid I may have to resort to online ordering.  I have spoken to the manager of the crafts department to no avail.

REALLY sorry to hear your WalMart won't order what you request.  Most are that way now around the country---if they even still carry yarns.  Mine is super!  Our manager will order anything we ask for---if they can get it!  But, of course they only carry a few different brands....Red Heart, Caron, some Bernat and some Lion.  Just got another new shipment of coned cotton, though!!!!!
