There SHOULD be a picture to go with this story but the camera that travels in the car was taken out by my husband (unbeknownst to me) just last night.

If only you could have seen what I DOVE INTO when I made an unplanned run into my local Walmart. You know those HUGE square bins that Walmart uses to stack / display pillows, blankets, and other mass quantities of items!? Well, after I grabbed a couple of cones of new colors of Peaches and Cream that I have not seen before, from an end-cap display, the sales gal in the craft section caught my eye, smiled, and pointed in a different direction. "You might want to look at THAT", she said. There it was: a virtual MOUNTAIN of cotton cones in every color of the rainbow---solids and variagated. I am talking SEVERAL HUNDRED cones!!!!!!!! More new colors I have not seen previously. I was speechless! She started to laugh, of course. I asked if they are going to keep stocking like that and she said YES!!!!! I asked why this has happened and she said a customer had been asking the clerks why there was such short supply of cones and colors (THAT WOULD BE ME!!!!!) and they told the Manager. The Manager called the manufacturer and discovered that they would supply anything the Manager wanted---all he had to do was ask. When I posted last time the Manager had done a trial-run with that order and it sold so fast that now the Manager said he will continue to meet the market demand....now that he knows what is actually available....and that people WANT IT. For all of you who have very little to none of this item----
TALK TO THE STORE MANAGER!!!! I have been told at my Walmart that is all you have to do! ALSO, if you phone 1-800-WALMART you can request a return of the craft dept. if it has been removed and you can request the return of specific items (such as the cross stitch items at my store that have been discontinued). Needless to say I will be eating bread and water for quite awhile because I could not walk away from that bin. I must have been a sight. Shoppers were actually stopping to watch me burrowing into the bin to find every single treasure buried under the mountain.

Are we talking ADDICTION or what! The price is still 6.64 / cone. Redheart yarn is UP though

Back up to 2.27 from 1.97. If I get back to the store very soon and the mountain is still there ( I seriously doubt it) I will take a picture to post. You have to see it to believe it!
