OMG! COTTON!

       I just read on a knitting forum that the Peaches and Cream cotton manufacturer is GOING OUT OF BUSINESS this month!  How can this be?!?  The ever-increasing price of cotton, no doubt.  I knew cotton prices would be reaching critical stage by Spring but I never thought this supplier would close its doors.  Better stock up, Everyone.  P & C was the lowest priced (and very decent quality) cotton I have ever found.  I wonder what will happen to the other cotton suppliers (of  sport WW & finer thread cottons)

Read it in a post from the Knitting Paradise Forum Digest.  This is a part of her post:  "I had emailed the manufacturer in North Carolina about a color and the stock at the local Wal-Mart and received a reply that they are going out of business as of February 25th".

Latest info on the P & C cotton (from a poster on another forum) : I talked to the company today and the business has been sold to Sprinrite Yarns which also has Sugar N Cream. The Peache's & Cream yarn uses a better cotton than Sugar N Cream and Peache's & Cream yarn is softer than the other one. You can still buy from Peache's & Cream until May 2011.
