SPORTS DOLL/FIGURES

I'm looking for a pattern(s) to crochet a sports doll/figure IE: baseball player, football player, basketball player, hockey player etc.  I would like to start a collection of sports figures to give to my grandson who will be 8 shortly.  I have a pattern for a baseball mitt, ball and bat and for a baseball player but I would like some others.  I would prefer it be free if possible.

Thanks Tweed...however you have to make a $10.00 purchase in order to receive this pattern.  I do have a 1983 pattern for a football player, but it is 21" tall and I didn't want anything that big.

Here is a etsy listings i found.  maybe if you find one good pattern you can adapt the uniforms and helmets for each sport.

or maybe you can crochet small bears and dress them in his favorite teams.

I did see that pattern but I think it's a little small.  I was thinking of something about 12" to 15" inches.  I think I might just have to use a generic body pattern and maybe sew some sort of uniform for them.
