Hi all! My name is Amanda. My mom taught me to crochet when I as a kid, but I had no practical use for it til' now! I'm having a baby in July and want to crochet a few things, so I may have a lot of questions as I'm not remembering everything! As a bit of a warmup project I'm making a granny square afghan. Just one big granny square lol. It's not done yet, but is going OK. I look forward to talking, and possibly picking your brains if that is ok  Amanda! |

Hi Amanda! Welcome to Crochet Happy! We all love to crochet here and there's always someone here that can help. We have beginners, intermediate and advanced crocheters here, so feel free to ask questions! If you can, we'd love to see pictures of your projects that you finish! We love pictures here!
Congratulations on the baby due in July! You have lots of time to get some baby things crocheted. Making baby things are sooo much fun! If you look in showcase, you'll see some baby things that our members have crocheted, maybe you'll get some ideas!

Thanks for the welcome! I don't know if I can post pics cause I don't have a digital camera! If I find a way I will though. My first afghan isn't going to be that pretty lol. At least DH is supportive. He wants me to finish it so he can use it! It takes a lot to scare me, so no worries there  |

Hi Amanda! Welcome to a great forum. You'll love it here. Everyone is so great and really helpful. Pick our brains away. LOL. Oh I'm sure your granny square blanket is coming along great. I'm working on a baby afghan right now also. It's for a baby shower. I will post a pic when I'm done.
Definitely join in a chat. We have lots of fun.
Oh and by the way. Don't let Nutty scare ya either. She's trouble. Hahahahahahah. I'm not scary. I'm the nice one. LOL

congrats on the baby!!!!!!!!!! i have 5 sons soo gooood luck.
and i wouldnt believe shari that she is the nice one. both her and nutty are wacko's and they luv to pick on people!!!!!!!!!! bende is great with any questions you have a we all look forward to seeing pic's of anything u make and your new one when he/she arrives.

I have 3 myself, my youngest is 9 months (john), my middle child is almost 3 (heather-anne) and my oldest son is 14 1/2 years (zac) Yahhh i am not the newbie anymore *laughing*...I joined just befor you  You will enjoy it here and EVERYONE is sooooo friendly and offer's such helpful advice! My FIRST crocheted item many many many years ago was a big ol' granny square afghan! welcome again! |
