Hello, All

Just want to introduce myself, and say how happy I am to find this forum...and that I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here...

My name is Melissa, I'm 41, married with 4 children...(well, 2 children, 1 teen, and 1 college student), and live in Central New Mexico.  I have been crocheting for about 8 or so years now...and I love it....I usually have 2 or three projects going at a time.  Mostly I like making things for other people, 'cause when I try to make something for myself I end up changing my mind on the pattern, colors, or item and start over too many times to count.  I love to peruse crochet pattern sites and marvel at what people come up with.

Hope to swap ideas, funny anecdotes, or just plain old life with new friends I meet here...

Hi and welcome Melissa!  Grin  Glad you found us and hope you jump in often.  Where in central NM are you?  I lived in the Silver City area (Gila, to be exact) for 7 years but that was some years ago now.  Ahhhh, the Land of Enchantment ----SO beautiful.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes....I live in Rio Rancho...born and raised in ABQ....I ♥ NM....don't think I'll ever leave. (My dh is from MD...like to visit there, but I get claustrophobic after about 3 days....love all the trees there, but miss being able to see miles and miles around, and into the next county Wink

I hear ya Melissa---wide open and see forever spaces...especially when you were born and raised with those vistas.  I came from Northern MI so I have had plenty of experience with the "closeness" of the hills and thick wooded areas, etc.  I like both.  (Live in KY now so I get a little of everything... the hills, the bottoms, the trees, the open fields, etc.).  I will always love NM as much as I love MI and KY.   Smiley

Lol! I never heard of that site before. Personally, I prefer trees and hills, if only a few. But that's me, and you all have different choices. Grin

Oh thank you!  That is hilarious stuff....and try as I might, I could NOT find anything that I would like to add to my to do project list...I'll have to check in every day though...something "unique" just might bring out the creative in me....bwahahaha!
