Hi my name is Peggy from the mountains of Pa.BD 8/6/1950 married 37yrs,to a great man and we have one son 35 who is single and lives in ST.Pete Florida.
I love country living and was born and bred as a country girl.I love to crochet in thread and yarn,have thousands of patterns but always looking for new ideas.I also love to bake .I have no grandbabies to crochet for so I adopt all kids from the people I work with I do so much want to be a grandmother.I crochet everything and I usually never make the pattern as it says I 'm always changing things around to suit my needs.Dolls,with hooped slips,tissue covers,baby things,afghans,the reversable kind is my favorite,baskets,to give homemade goodies in,shawls and slippers for nursing homes
I work fulltime as a packer in a warehouse,been doing it for 7 yrs,now and getting a little old now for the hard work,but have 3 more years until we are going to retire.Hubby 's BD is 5/20/1948.
I hope to make all kinds of friends here.I love unusual patterns,unusual books,and unusual movies,unusual,and unexplained,and strange.That's me,LOL Hugs from Me to you all,Peggy in Pa.

Hi Peggy from PA!
Welcome to the club! I'm from North Wales, PA, about 45 North of Philadelphia. My parents were born and raised in Schulykill Haven & Pine Grove, PA. As a kid, we even lived in Pine Grove for a short time in my Junior year of High School. Today, we have a place in Renovo, PA, where my Hubby's family is from. Didn't make it to Flaming Foilage this year. Hopefully we'll get there next year. Where abouts are you from? We have an 11 year old son, our only one that we have been blessed with. I'll be turning the big 49 this year. I am too looking for grandchildren but I don't know if wel'll get to see that.....keeping my fingers crossed. I would love to make some stuff for a grandchild. I crocheted our son a blanket sweater set before he was born, but after that, too busy to do anything between Johnn and trying to work full time. I did make some neat things for our God-Daughter who was born 1 year and 4 months before our son, Johnn.
Looking forward to seeing some things that you create. I'm working on purses for my nieces and some doilies for others in the family....not a whole of money this year, so I'm crocheting alot of things....even for work friends if I get the time. I'm hoping the Detectives at the police station where I work like scarves, because that's what I'm thinking of doing for them. Was thinking of doing the same for the two ladies in my office along with some crocheted bookmarkers....they like to read alot too.
