     Hi. My name is Beth. I just started crocheting a few weeks ago. A lady at my work started me out. Right now I'm doing a basic afghan throw with the basic shell pattern. That's pretty much all I know right now. I enjoy it alot though.
   Eventually I'd love to be able to make my dog sweaters and even my own clothing and other types of blankets. Just trying to get the basics down first. So I'm sure all of you guys will eventually be able to help me with all those hard stitches!

Hey Beth!  Welcome to the "Crochet Happy" forum.  I think you're going to really enjoy making all those things you mentioned, and you will do a great job i'm sure.  We have many crocheters at all levels from beginners to advanced..so I'm sure you will get lots of help from everyone when/if you need it!

We do have regularly scheduled chats if you'd like to join those, and occasionally we have crochet alongs which is alot of fun, if that's something you're interested in as well!

bende is a great teacher and you are already off to a great start.   we all love the shell pattern and i cant wait to see the finished project in the forum

what state are you from and what kind of dogs do you have.

     Thanks to everyone for the welcome. I hope to learn alot from this forum. The blanket I am making is with a variegated type of yarn.                  
     The colors are navy,maroon,mustard- like yellow,and a rusty brown. I'm making it for my husband. I want to make a border for it when I'm done in a cream color, but not sure yet... I have only one dog, her name is Anna and she is a Boxer...she's my baby. Oh, and by the way I'm from West Virginia. Grin
