Hi everyone,

I just started to crochet few weeks ago from my aunt. I've sewed dresses before but crocheting is liberating in the sense that I don't need any machine, I can do it anywhere and it's quite forgiving since I can unravel and restart any time.

A kind lady gave me a part of her yarn stash so that I can practice. So far I made about 10 scarves, 1 poncho, 2 kerchieves, 2 hair bands. A bag and a hat are work in progress. I've discovered that double crochet is the easiest and fastest to make. I'm playing it safe by using only worsted yarn. I made couple of scarves using the "fluffy" yarn (don't know the real name). These were completed in record amount of time.

I need to learn how to make granny squares so that I can make baby blankets and other stuff. Also I need to figure out what to do with mohair and other challenging yarn.

Looking forward to learning a lot from all of you. Cheers.
Crochet Mum.
