Good evening ladies,

Thank you very much for the warm welcome.

Just let me tell you that I went to Hancock fabricks this afternoon  I was lost  Embarrassed didn't know what I was looking for except for the G crochet hook but a very friendly lady who works there helpped me to find the items for volume 1 projects. I bought the Lion Brand yarns (Wool-Ease worsted weight  80% acrylic and 20% wool for $2.29 even though is not 100% acrylic I hope is going to be ok for the scaft ---not idea what is skein??---, for the wash cloth the 100% lion cotton worsted weight  for $3.89, and the Susan Bates' 6 aluminiun crochet hook set -- F-5 G-6 H-8 I-9  J-10 K-10.5 -- for $9.95) I was given 20% off on the yarns Grin

I saw different brands but I hope I bought good quality yarns and hooks otherwise let me know so that I can exchange it/them.

Getting ready when the dvds arrive to star crochetting  Tongue.
Can't wait, I guess I should it bought the download one at least for the first volume.

Hi Meiko,

The wool ease yarn should be fine for the scarf.  Being 20% wool, it may shrink a bit when washed, so maybe you want to wash in cold water and not put it in the dryer..however, you can read the label on the yarn and it will give the washing instructions.

Sounds like you are all set to start crocheting.  To keep costs down, you might want to check out your yarns at walmart.  They have the red heart 100% acrylic yarns and also the walmart brand yarns which are even cheaper.  A Skein is just what they call what the yarn comes in,...for instance, you bought a skein of the wool ease yarn and a skein of the cotton yarn.  The skeins of red heart yarn at walmarts are 7 oz for the solid colors and 6 oz for the multicolored yarns, and are $2.17 a skein.  And the walmart brand yarn is $1.77 a skein.

Well now, I can't wait for you to get started.  Keep us posted when you get the videos and if you can take pictures of your projects, we'd love to see them!

HAVE FUN!

Bende thanks for the explanation.

The yarn that I bought is 2 1/2 oz for the scarf. I guess I will have to buy two more yarns.

In the videos do you explain the different type of yarns?

Girls, yes I am ready to star Tongue

I will keep you guys post when I get the videos.

One more ? How do I post pics?
