My name is Marjorie, I am 35 and I have been crocheting for about 6 years. I have been married to a wonderful man for almost 13 years and we have an 11 year old son and a 9 year old Sheltie. A little over 2 years ago we moved to a small town in North Carolina from Florida where I was born and raised so it was a big change for me. I started out doing cross-stitch when I was about 10 and my mom also had tried to show me how to crochet but I never had much interest at the time and all she knew how to do was granny squares. I never could make anything without it being uneven so I just gave it up. Then some time later, a friend at work showed me a pattern that was not worked in rows but was worked diagonally. I tried it and successfully completed my first afghan. After that I started teaching myself through lots of help from the internet and have been crocheting ever since. I still cross-stitch from time to time but crocheting is my passion. I play the keyboard and am the secretary/treasurer for a small church here in NC. I also work full time for Lowe's. I love anything Winnie-the-Pooh, thus the reason for my nickname - Pooh Bear. (I even have flannel Eeyore sheets which my husband doesn't like too much
