Hello, I thought I'd introduce myself properly  Cheesy

My name is Gemma, I am 24 years old, mummy to a beautiful son and my gorgeous baby girl! I am also married to Shaun (who funds my expensive hobby  Grin) We live in Leeds, UK  Grin

I haven't been crochetting for long, think since maybe August last year when a woman on another forum started selling afghans, I was going to buy one and I thought 'no I'm going to make one, how hard can it be?!' Answer was it was pretty easier but oh my gosh how addictive is it lol?! I now own more yarn than a small shop, around a dozen books, I have 3 binders FULL of patterns either bought or printed  Embarrassed a variety of different size hooks, bamboo, steel etc  Roll Eyes and I am always planning my next buy  Undecided

I love making things for my baby, haven't made anything for my little boy yet, I aren't fast enough and I get bored easily. Oh I lie I did make him a guinea pig which I got confused with the conversion stitches thing, it was way back in the beginning and it looked like something rude with legs, unfortunately my son loves it and won't let me throw it in the bin  Undecided

At the moment I am making a cardigan I have roughly based on a pattern someone posted on here, I've changed parts of it though to make it unique, I'm making it for Mailie for my son's birthday meal!

Thats enough from me for now lol! xxx

Rude with legs . . little boy . . . makes perfect sense!

Welcome, we'd love to see puctures of your work, & jump in anytime with questions, I know we have several UK members, so I am sure someone can sympathize/help with the American to UK conversion.

There has been several great patterns posted recently for little girls sweaters, I've done several, they are all so pretty I just can't resist.  Luckily my family/friends seems to be in a streak of girl babies.
