I have had someone ask me to make them a name runner like the one that I made a couple of years ago for my niece (see picture below).  How much would you charge for something like this?

It's beautiful! How long did it take and how difficult was it?

Great work.  That kind of crochet takes a lot of concentration and work.  It would be hard to put a price on it.  Ask them what they think would be a fair price and then go from there.  If you don't agree, then don't do.  Too many people don't want to pay for the hours of work it takes to do something like this or any craft project.   They think you should basically give it away.  We were at a craft show, my husband builds nice birdhouses out of good wood and they were priced reasonable.  All we heard was how nice the birdhouses were but no takers.  They weren't priced too high.  I had some shawls and I basically priced them for the cost of the yarn, but some thought that was too high.  Some of the shawls had a lot of work but they didn't care.  Didn't sell one even at $15.00.

Thanks for the links and the kind words.  I did it so long ago I don't remember how long it took.  I didn't even think of doing a search.  I guess that's why I have you guys - to think for me when I can't think straight! Shocked
