Saturday in our household this weekend is going to be a big celebration.
After 9 years of study and at times lots of heartache my DH is finally becoming a minister in the Church of England, we have the whole ceremony thing at the cathedral.

So what does a crochet addict decide to do 4 days before? Yep you guessed it crochet a shawl to go with new my clothes!?
Do you do this type of insane thing too?
So I have been crocheting like a lunatic for the past 2 days and am cursing my impulsive decision. Roll Eyes Cheesy

So far this is my progress...

still have a long long way to go! Grin

This will make you laugh, when my daughter came home from school today and i showed her what i had been doing all day she said " o lovely, but why are you making giant underwear"  lol

Congrats to you and your family!  I think I've seen that pattern before but it never did anything for me, until I saw what you did in that lovely blue color.  I'm sure your shawl will turn out beautiful.  And now, I might have to try that pattern for myself   Wink

I agree ML.   I looked at the pattern on the Lion site, & they had done it in mohair & it just had no appeal, when I saw your beautiful shawl I couldn't believe it was the same pattern.
