thread burn...??

How do you deal with thread burn? I get a red line that burns on my index finger because of the constant friction. I have a bandaid as a barrier, but the texture delays the movement of thread. any ideas, remedies??
thanks

I use a piece of the black electrical tape on my finger. It's smooth so the yarn slides across it easily.

those are reallly good ideas! for the last little bit i found that wearing a thin winter mitten works quite well... but my hand gets kinda warm... so i'll have to try these.

I read something the other day that said to use a band-aid.

I tried that! the material ones drag the thread and the plastic ones dont have enough barrier.
