Thank you luckyleah for the link you sent me! I'm working on it now and I can already see it come together. I'm making two for my husband and I then one for my mom more than likely. Although probably not all in a row. lol. I may do some gloves and a hat I like but the ones I want to do is knitting so my friend will help me with that.

I'm excited that this is coming together! I even went and bought a bigger bag to keep my project in. ha ha!

I'll post pictures soon!

Glad to hear that your afghan is coming together.  Can't wait to see pictures.  When I have time I am going to work on the pattern you were first trying to do to see if I can figure out the mistake they made in the instructions.  I like the pattern and want to try it.

Keep up the good work.  Patterns are hard to read at first and even sometimes for those of us that have been crocheting for years.

Yippee!  I can't wait to see it!  I know how excited you feel!  Isn't it great to know it was the pattern at fault last time?!

OM!!! That is loke the same blanket I'm working on! I want to know...do you work it into the back loop or both??? I've done it in the back and want to know if that saves me yarn...I need a 40x60 blanket, and using my first balls (green, pink & white) I've made 12 inches approximately. Think I have enough???

I'm working on both loops. I've used about 2 skeins of each color and almost as long as the couch have more to do though.
