I have a book of patterns that I scanned in on my computer.  I could email it to you.  It's about 8mg and in JPEG files.

The entire ensemble is just so beautiful.  Brings back memories of the Christening Gown I made for my Goddaughter.

What a perfectly GORGEOUS dress and bonnet! Such intricate work! Can't stop looking at it! lol

You can add a section to any bootie top to thread a ribbon thru. Around the top crochet 1 dc, ch1, sk 1, 1 dc, ch1, sk1 all around the top. next row do sc in dc, sc in ch1 sp all the way around. Then just thread a ribbon thru and tie!

Thanks so much everyone for your help and replies, I have found a pattern in a book called bootees and bibs but still havent a clue on how to weave the ribbon, the diagrams are all hazy.
Heres a pic, if anyone has a clue please, its based on two rows of trebles (UK)  or DC (USA)

Thanks again for all your help.

Wow, what beautiful booties! It looks like two rows of dc, ch1, dc all around with the 2nd row of dc, ch1 on top of the last row. Looks like the ribbon is woven in the bottom row in one direction and in the 2nd row in the other direction giving it the woven look
