Today a lady came into my office and asked if someone had spoke with a her mother a couple of months ago about donation of hats and scarves, I said yes I believe I was the one who spoked with her, she wanted to know how many residents we have. She said she had them and would bring them in. Her 96 year old mother had knitted 3O hats and 30 scarves. When I thanked her, she said it gave her mother something to do. She may have not seen what I seen in what her mother did. The people we care for are mentally challenged and most of them will not appriciate the hand made hats and scarves, but I was deeply touched and wanted to share the kindness of a one women in a small town.  Smiley

Those blessings out of the blue are such a good reminder of how generous & thoughtful people can be.

That is a heart warming story here at Christmas time.  I have a 93 year old friend who still crochets baby booties & blankets.
