Hi! I've just started learning crochet yesterday through visiting websites. Grin I am trying to make a scarf, but i'm stuck on the 3rd row! Shocked
I am having problems understanding this instruction.

sc in next ch-2 sp

I know that "sp" means "space". I tried researching on the net but have no luck whatsoever about what "space" is. So i know this may be silly, but could someone please help me with what this is.

All it means is to sc in the ch-2 space from I am guessing the previous row that you did.

The "space" is the "hole" in the previous row that was created when you did a ch-2.  You do not crochet in a stitch but rather the "space" that was created by the stitches.  Hope this helps - you'll get the hang of it and soon be on your way.  Congrats on trying to learn over the internet.  You've found a great website to get any help!
