I recently made this afgan:

It's just what I wanted and goes with my couch, which is  what I wanted. Now I want to make a matching pillow. There's no pattern for that, and I never made a pillow before. I would want to use the same pattern, and have the back plain, maybe all sc.  Can you find me a pillow-making tutorial and something that will tell me how to use my own pattern?

very pretty blanket!  Are you wanting a square or rectangular pillow OR a round one?  Just figure out the size you want and make a front and back piece using your afghan stitch pattern.  Of course you need to calculate / experiment with the number of stitches you will need to make the foundation chain... based upon the size of pillow you want AND based on the number of stitches needed to make the stitch pattern (number of repeats of the pattern).  You can make both sides in the pattern of the afghan or just make the front in the pattern and do the back in sc or hdc or dc---whatever you want.  I have done it both ways myself.  You can use a purchased pillow form or use a piece of chair cushion foam (a soft one) or use fiberfill.  With the openess of the pattern (the treble cross stitches) you will want to make a fabric lining for whatever cushioning / stuffing you choose.  You can crochet the front and back pieces together or use velcro or a zipper or snaps or crochet ties..... or whatever you choose as a closure.  If you want a snug fit of your crochet cover over the pillow form or stuffing then crochet your front and back pieces about 1/2" smaller than the finsihed size of size of the pillow form / stuffing.  I don't know of a specific pillow making tutorial online since I have always just "done my own thing" but I am sure you could do a simple search online and find something.
