It looks like you grew as you went up, were you counting?
Are you following a pattern at all? Your turning chains count as a double crochet.
For example, if your row has 10 double crochets, when you go to the next row, chain three to begin, and that counts as your first double crochet.
Then, skip the first dc from the previous row (because your ch 3 goes with it) and dc in the next 9 dc.
In your next row do the same, and then when you get to the end of the row where your ch 3 is, your 10th dc will go in that top ch.
