Hi everyone, I', having a bit of trouble following a pattern.

I bought this pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/babies-jacket-and-hat-set-patt-no194

Hopefully just by looking at the pictures you can see what i mean..

The cardigan has raised triple treble ( it's in UK terms) I know how to do a treble/double frontpost, but this I just can not get..

I know how to do this stitch.
Here is the pattern stitch:

rttrf, Raised triple treble front:  yarn around hook 3 times, insert hook from the front of the work around stem of the stitch indicated. Yarn round hook, draw loop through, (yrh, draw through 2 loops) 4 times...

I have followed to row 2 of the pattern which is just 2 rows of dc. The 3rd row is this:

3ch, 1 tr into next 2 trs, * 1 rttf around stem of tr 2 stitches to the left and two rows below, miss 1 tr, 1 tr into next tr, 1rttf around the same st as the last rttrf, miss 1 tr, 1 tr into next 5 tr,* rep from * to *, ending last rept with 1 tr into 3 trs, turn.

I am having trouble with following the bits high lighted in red.  Does this mean go through both tr of bottom row at the same time?Huh

See I'm a visual learner and reading that without having a clue how to do it is not easy. Smiley

Any help would be great, or someone to show me in pictures would be even better! lol.

Thanks, Leanne. Smiley

Hi ya Satin  Grin  it is late and I am going to bed so I won't be able to work up a sample swatch and take photos at the moment but I can tell you to just do as the pattern indicates:  when working on row 3... and you have started the row with ch 3, 1 tr  in each of next 2 sts ...  then skip the next 2 stitches, then instead of working the next stitch you simply drop down to the corresponding stitch in row 1 and work your rttf around the post of THAT one stitch.  Follow the next bit of instructions and then you will be doing another rttf around the SAME post of the SAME stitch as the first rttf you made.  You can see in the picture of the (beautiful) sweater set that the raised trebles are crossed at the bottom of what ends up looking like a "V" or a cable effect ---because you make the first rttf working normally along the row from right to left and the second rttf is worked backwards or behind the already worked stitches ---from left to right.  Sort of like doing a cross or X stitch....while at the same time dropping down a couple of rows and making the "long" or "Dropped" or "spike" stitch.  Does this help you at all. Leanne?

Good luck with it, Leanne.  It WILL actually be easier after you see how it works and all goes together.  Just be mindful of counting your stitches and keeping them even / in line when you are asked to skip stitches and drop down several rows to work the rttf.  Sure am looking forward to seeing this beautiful set when you are finished.  It is a gorgeous pattern and your workmanship is always exquisite.
