Hi Everyone,
I have been practicing some filet crochet and am ready to start a tablecloth as a gift.  The only problem I have encountered is guage.  Using the hook recommended and size #10 thread, the stitch count is correct, but the rows are too short.  I am not sure how to correct this.  It seems if I change hook size that wil change the stitches and the rows.  Any suggestions for me?  Thanks.

I would change hook size. If you follow the pattern as you did before, it should not change the stitches and the row.

As an alternative, you may want to practice crocheting your stitches a litttle looser.

Hope this helps. Please post pictures, when you finish!

Thank you Wilbur, I will give that a try.  The instructions recommend crocheting tightly, maybe I was crocheting a little too tightly.  Yes, I will post pictures.
