Now that I'm done (for a few weeks) with making Christmas presents I can get started on those baby afghans that I've been dying to do! They're gifts (not Christmas ones) for twins and I got the exact yarn I wanted for them just days after Thanksgiving. They've been sitting in the living room, making sure they were in my direct view, taunting me, saying, "Naa-nanana, you can't work on us yet!"

It's snowing, so maybe this is the day for me to stay in, start them, watch the NCIS marathon, and think about taking the tree down. And have hot tea, cookies, and leftover turkey and gravy.

You found the perfect yarn, what is the perfect pattern?

Isn't it cruel when yarn taunts you!

I know what you mean by yarn taunting you.  I have a whole stash doing that to me.  Everytime I go into my basement and I see the boxes and boxes of yarn saying the same thing.  I had such high hopes in doing so many things between Christmas and New Years.  The only thing I accomplished was a pair of knitted mittens for my son and one crocheted Angel bookmarker/ornament.  I was off from work for 11 days and didn't get done half the things I wanted to.  We did get all the Christmas decorations down which is a must in my hubby's eyes.  But, I kept telling him, I guess the Wisemen won't get to the manger this year......again in our house.  I like to keep the decorations up longer but that's not one of him and his family's traditions.  I would keep it up until at least the middle of January....but not him.  Oh well.
