Hi Ladies! Just wanted to show you the status of my "Leafy Purse"/"Lettuce Purse". I have one side crocheted and I'm working on the other. I'm hoping to have it done by next Friday. I have to finish the other side, put a liner it and put bamboo type or something like it, handles on it. I really want this for my trip to the USS Bush next weekend, May 1st. I'm also still working on the angels for the front of the Bible Bags (which I left the pattern at the hospital visiting my SIL. I won't get the pattern back until this weekend.....another delay. I'm also working on a doily for a "thank you" gift. And don't forget my crochet sweater that I have on hold and the Irish Cable Sweater/Shawl that I have on hold too. Maybe I'll get some of these done during my trip next weekend. I have 9 hours of travel time each way. Friday night I won't get much done but I'm sure on the return trip Sunday I will.

OMG! that is so pretty! Love the color. Lovely stitchery. Sounds like you have some really nice projects lined up / in progress. Looking forward to seeing all of them. I would sure like to know more about the pattern for the Irish cable sweater shawl.

Thanks ladies. I was thinking about going with a little darker shade of brown for the lining so that you can really see the stitching. Haven't picked it out yet, but will be doing that by the weekend.
The Irish Cables Shawl & Bolero Shrug - Item # A838502, is on the Annie's Attic Web site. You can see about 8 different poses with both the shawl and the shrug. I'm really anxious to get back to that again too. I only have one of the motifs done. I'll have to post that for you. The stitching is pretty tricky on it. I had my knitting teacher help me out with it before I started my knitting classes. I have all the yarn for it....just sitting there waiting for me, patiently.
I even have all the yarn to make another rug just sitting there waiting for me in a wicker wash basket next to the sofa waiting for me to pick it up and start......too many other projects in the works right now, it's just sitting there waiting patiently.
I'm glad yarn can't talk....I think I would really yelled at by now............

No, I didn't create the pattern. I got if right off of here. It's the Leafy Pattern under Purses. When you open it up, the actual pattern is called the Lettuce Bag. I'm almost done the second halfl and I picked up the lining, wadding, and handles yesterday. Can't wait to finish it myself.....if I could ever stay awake at night........

Your purse is going to be just lovely! I agree, a little darker lining so the beautiful stitching shows up. Can't wait to see a picture of it finished!
