I do have to tell you about the only that I've put together since my junior high school days (1973-1975) is a costume for my son at school.  When he was in first grade, we had to make a Saints costume for the All Saints Day parade from the school to the church.  My son chose to be St. Francis of Assisi.  I did this all by hand.  It was full length with long sleeves (Dark Brown in color) and it had a circular collar that was about 9" wide  that came down the front, over his shoulders and down the back with about a 2" choker type collar that was attached that came up his neck.  I used hooks to close it.  I had a Macram

ok here is the almost final dress.  I attached it which scared me for a while that is why it sat on the table and i stared at it for several weekends.
i am taking it to my moms to hem so she can help me try it on Anna ,  one to hold the wiggler and one to pin.  hehehehe

Very cute dress...I may try it this spring.  I hear you on busy with a baby....it has been a year since I have crocheted.  Once my Daughter turned one this september I was finally able to start crocheting again a bit.
