Hi Ladies,
Sorry I been so sporadic in the pat few mths.  Boy has there been so many new groupies ( I love it)
Life is crazy around here.  Massive yard work, AnnaLee turning the big "1", my dad still sick, and 3 weeks in RI on the Block for a family wedding and a million other family occasions.
I have been crocheting s much as I can, now I am working on this

http://www.hgtv.com/crafting/crochet-and-fabric-dress/index.html

just got my yarn and dug out some fabric i had in my sewing table that has been stored away for like 3 years. (oops)
I hope to make this one for Anna now and then maybe one for her turkey day dress in some really nice ol' Americana fabric i had.

I try to hope on here and there and see what you guys have been doing, but Anna keeps me really busy and the hubbies hours have changed a lot since he is in a new position in the PD.
But I try and lurk in the least.
I hope now that life is winding down a lil I can get back on and chat more often.
ps I lost 60 lbs and am  trying for baby #2 woo hoo when Anna naps I run 3 miles a day

Boy, you have been busy and sounds like you gonna be even busier yet trying for #2.  That's awesome.  The weight loss is awesome too.  Hats off to you.  The older you get the harder it is to get off an keep off.  I would like to just get it off.  I'm the biggest yo-yo in that area.

The dress is so cute.  Anxious to see how your's turns out.  Also Happy Birthday to Anna.  The first big milestone of many........  Mines working on his confirmation and just started being alter server at our parish.....two big steps for him.

Glad to see your back.

Ahh thanks ladies.  yes this year flew by and she is as fun as ever.
Her and Natasha and I play all day when it is not raining.
I lost the weight cause I really want another baby and I dont want to be on bed rest again and I want to be super active with Anna still.
She motivated o run every day, I am working my way up to running 3 miles w/o walking.
Right now I run for 5 min and walk fast for 1 on and off.  No matter what i just get on 1st thing in the morning and run and then i do a ab work out every other day.
And when I can I got a running stroller and take the pups and the baby out as much as possible.
I try to keep my lap top put away cause it tends to all my name and I end up spending non productive time on it hehhehe and that Darn Face book is addicting to hahahahah
Here is Anna's 1st bday pic's and I pos tmy before and afters once I reach my goal weight or before I get preggo hahahahahahha
Missed ya all
This was after  45 lbs lost:

I painted my shed for her July 4th bday blast - 100 people in my yard

On Block Island with at her great aunts house

Oh what great pictures!

I have also been away for a few months.  Things are going to calm down for me too, I think.
Happy Birthday to Miss AnnaLee!
I'm wishing you're dad gets better soon.  Having just gone through this with my Dad, it's very hard when they are ill and you are caregiving to the family.  Hang in there and write me if you need to talk.

Wonderful on the weight loss!  My son has lost 70 lbs in the past 2 years.  I need to get motivated too and maybe I can soon.

Facebook is addictive and now that my reunion is over, my family wants me to set up a page for us to connect.  That's my next project.  Friend me on there.  I'm Jodi Morrow Wheeler.  Everyone is invited to friend me there.

Have a great day All!

I have a ?  So i made my 2 top pieces of the dress should I try and block them before sewing them together or after.
and what is the best way to block.  I really never blocked anything, but I would like this dress to look finished.

Ok here is my 1st real Attempt at trying to block the top to the dress. hahahah
i pinned it to my daughters foam mat , Hope she is not looking for it will tomarrow

ok what i did was pinned both down on top of each other to get them the same size.
then i put a towel under hot water and laid it over a few times and pressed with my hands

think it would work?

I hope so !

I have a steamer the scrunchie steamer... but it would not work and my husband stole btoh my iorn to help a friend put on new laminate.

Looks like you're coming along beautifully with the dress.  I'm sorry I can't help you much with putting it together.  I've never done that myself.  Good Luck!  I'm sure it will come out great.

I cut the fabric and its all laid out.
I am nervous I dunno y hahaha
I can do a running stitch, but I have never been to good at hand sewing,  I do have a machine, so I am back and forth.
I really wanted it to be hand made  I think tonight will be the night for it to get done.  Have found the may issues of crochet too and it has another one just like it .
I am psyched.

anyone ever make a pillow case dress.  thats next
