I am attempting to make an adult size Cabbage Patch doll sweater.

Here is where I got the pic of the doll.

Sorry about the size. In the photo is my daughter-in-law and her mother. Shocked Grin

So I cropped the pic and got this

Thus far I have crocheted up to the start of the hair. Not sure I like how it is tunring out. The hair and the skin tones are so close it is hard to tell whcih is which.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas as to how I should do the hair, nose, mouth and the effects of the dimensions?

Wasn't sure if this should have posted in the help section or project I am working on.

I know that there are actual patterns available to make Cabbage Patch type dolls...I'm not positive on how to do it myself but the patterns would defianately show you how.

Yes I have seen the doll patterns but they aren't much help. Will try another search to see what i can find

Seems all I can locate are patterns to make doll clothes. Will keep trying

I thought the pic was cute too LOL Hoping to give it to here for Christmas.

Have another I will try for my other daughter-in-law. Doing it with a unicorn on the front of the sweater.

I hope this helps. If you look up Xavier Roberts on e bay. There is a 1983 or 1982 LITTLE PEOPLE PALS Doll Patterns magazine that mite help.

Thanks but I don't think that is what I was trying to do.

What I was attempting was take the picture and make a turtle neck sweater using the image of the cabbage patch doll.

Having difficulty with the color (colour?? Wink) of the face and hair. Also trying to define the nose, chin, mouth etc so one can tell it is actually a face.

Think I have ripped it out 4 times already cause I was not satisfied with the results.
