I just watched the movie The  Miracle Worker, with Patty Duke playing Hellen Keller...Did any one else see the part where MS.Sullivan played by Anne B ancroft was teaching Helen to Crochet? Hellen was Crocheting and Ms>Sullivan was saying the word crochet over and over then saw that it was better to say sewing for Hellen to understand better....Didnt know if this was the right place to post this but Love this movie and have seen it many times but for some reason This is the 1st time I remember the crocheting part...Just thought this might be interesting to some....

I've seen the movie a few times myself and I never took notice to her learning to crochet.  I will have to watch it next time I see it come on TV.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THAT!! I will let my daughter know so she can see it as well. My sister-in-law is a teacher of sign in California and I love watching her talk with others. It's so passionate and expressive!

I'll be tuning in!!
