*I don't think you should do it when you feel like it. It might ruin your piece.

I vote in the evening, after Molly is in bed and i get to sit and get out the hooks.
I have found crochet good for calming me after a horrid day, especially tiny projects that can be completed in one evening.

When I was working I crocheted at night to relax.  Now that I'm retired, I crochet during the day and at night.

It usually is when I have free time.  If I don't run home at lunch to let the dogs out, I sometimes crochet at work during lunch.  I get one hour, so I can usually crochet for about 45 minutes.  I did that before Christmas and the ones that I made gifts for had no idea I making them something.  I then usually sit down after dinner.  I usually let the dishes soak, crochet a little bit; and if I'm not too tired and fall asleep (which has been a ritual with me lately) get about an hour in and then I got back and do the dishes.  Then, I go back and crochet for a little bit, throw a load of wash in too, (try not to fall asleep with hook in hand) and then go back and pack lunches for the next day.  The one day I was crocheting with my 7 steel hook, fell asleep, and can't find the hook.  I don't remember eating it, checked down the sides of the recliner, and still can't find it.......It's those Minute Men....for those of you who remember the Twilight Zone show about the Minute Men.   Hopefully they'll give it back to me one day.  Lately I've been so tired, I haven't even picked up the crocheting at night or lunch except for the other night, between 3 and 6:00 AM, I finished crocheting the matching rug for in front of the toilet to go along with the one in front of the tub.  We were having people over for my sons 12th birthday and I wanted to get it done..........I wonder if I'll ever get back to a normal sleep routine.   I do have to get moving on those Bible Bags for my two youngest nieces....Easter's not that far off.
