Hi guys,

I FINALLY finished my second piece and whipstitched the long end to the short end last night.  Now I have no idea how to put the rest together.  I see the diagram, and it says to fold the long side over to the other short side, but when I do that it looks just plain wierd.  I think I'm doing something wrong.

Also, mine are closer to a square than a rectangle.  I think I must have really screwed up.  Embarrassed

All I did was take my long piece and fold it down, then brought the short piece, laying  it along the edge of the folded long piece and whipstitched it together.  It does get confusing too.

Thanks Nutty.  I'll give it another try.  Hopefully, I"ll be finished tonight and ready for the next project.

I got hung up on this part also.  Try laying it out on the floor and try to match up the ends that way.  I didn't think mine looked right either but once I tried it this way it worked out.  Hope this helps.

Thanks Miranda.  I did try laying it out on my bed, but it was last night at 12:30 and I had just finished whipstitching the first part (which I'd never done before either).  I think I was getting too tired and frustrated.  I'll try again and hopefully it'll work out this time.  Tongue

I'm sure it will come out right.  Can't wait for the next project.

I also got frustrated in this part and I did what Miranda I laid my project and made a triangle shape and that worked for me.

Instead of whipstitched I did sl sts.

Marie don't worrie take your time and enjoy it making in it, we will love to see your poncho when you finish it  Wink.
