FInished! I have a large stash of light weight baby yarns so thought I would work up the pattern in a more casual way.
It measures about 30" square and should be a good size for the car or diaper bag.
Thanks for the TERRIFIC pattern Kathy! I know this wont be the last time I use it!!!

WOW!!!!  Grin  I LOVE IT TWEED!!!  It IS a fabulous pattern and now I am going to have to make people wait for their X-Mas stuff Roll Eyes because I am even more anxious to make one (CAL or not tee hee) Cheesy  I had thought about using "scrap" yarns and now I know how successful it will be!  NICE job!

Kathy,
I am not sure of the amount since I was using scraps,  but I would guess if I were starting with an entire 2 oz skein I could get 3 or more strips. Some of the colors I used were in frightenly short supply. The yellow was a ball smaller then a softball. (I had a tad left over) It took all of a 5 oz skein of white and less then half of a 2nd.
I don't remember who said this but they were right, these panals, made a little longer, in a heavier yarn, make adorable scarfs!!! What great gifts and QUICK!
