Roll Eyes We all have our little project nightmares from time to time and here is MY latest "keep me awake all night"  Angry   I will try the "real" pattern again some time when I am wearing a brighter light bulb.  Had a little  Roll Eyes trouble with the st count and finding the ch-1 sts 3 rows below for staggered rows of consecutive long treble (V-Sts -- - treble 2 tog).  I loved the finished look of the bag in the pic.  SO, this is what I wrote up in order to salvage the work and my dignity after waaaaay too many hours of fooling around with it.  Credit to the original pattern author for a nifty stitch design with the long treble 2tog V-sts.  (Yep--- the back is different from the front.  Got a little overdone at that point and just did some coordinating bobbles to go with the boobles on the front) Cheesy  Top pics are front side, bottom pics are back side).

Thanks TH and Tweed  Grin

Yes there is a pattern ---two patterns actually---the original and the one I wrote.  Original is at free patterns.com on the first page midway down of wearables /accessories / purses.  It looks like this:
It is called a Jewelry or Makeup Pouch or something like that.
Mine is only scribbled at the moment.  Either pattern lends itself to lots of diversity in color and finished look with 2 solids or solid and variegated or even two of the "right" variegated yarns (the latter giving a very woven and textured look).  I'll be making more and experimenting with the yarns color combos and am determined to do the original pattern and find the error of my ways Cheesy

Thanks again TH and you are welcome Smiley  I wanted to do it in my (favorite) blues and greens or neutrals but these are my niece's colors.
